So we took the kids to what we thought would be a circus. I guess I thought it would be like the circus I remember going to at the fairgrounds when I was little. A circus with elephants, a lion, and maybe a few other animals. This is not what we went to today. Today was, as my husband described it, like a bad movie. You know it can't get worse and you hate to leave in the middle because you think, "It's just got to get better." There was a clown who bordered on freakishly annoying, there was a high-wire act, ladies in the air hung by silk fabric, ladies in the air hung by rope, little man balancing on things and, um, that's about it. Very, very strange. So at half time I brought K home and Cliff and T stayed, we're going back to pick them up in a half an hour. T wanted to stay. Perhaps for the same reason Cliff wanted to stay, he's just sure it'll get better. So that's the experience we had with the circus. Oh, and the kids got in free but Cliff and I's admission was $20 each. Grrr....
I want to be beautiful. Make you stand in awe. Look inside my heart, and be amazed. I want to hear you say who I am is quite enough. Just want to be worthy of love and beautiful. ~~ You make me beautiful. You make me stand in awe. You step inside my heart, and I am amazed. I love to hear you say who I am is quite enough. You make me worthy of love and beautiful.

Going to see the cows
We've been spending a lot of time at Cliff's parent's house lately with Jen and the kids being in town and family get togethers and stuff. It looks like the more and more T has been around the cows, the more and more comfortable he is. As soon as we got there tonight, he wanted to go see, "Licky." Apparently that is a cow that he has named. So as soon as I told him we would go outside, he was off to the calf barn in search of Licky.
T had fun petting the cows and letting them lick his hand.
Even K became more brave this time getting right up in the barn with the cows. I don't think she quite expected the lick though. :0)

Okay, Okay, Okay...
So lately I have been absolutely awful about writing on my blog (as I was reminded by a friend yesterday) so here I am, updating my blog. Lots of things have been going on lately, I've been having doctor's appt after doctor's appt to figure me out and so I've just been kind of down and haven't been keeping up on the things I need to. So here it is, updated for all of you thanks to Tammy Trapp. :0)
T's First Sleepover
Cliff's sister Jenny and her four kids were in town this past week from Spokane so they were able to come to T's party. I thought it'd be nice if the boys could spend the night after the party since they so rarely see T since they moved. So we had Josh, 5 and Jaret, 7 stay after the afternoon party. We rented movies, had water fights, and hardly slept at all. I think T loved it! :0) Even if we had gotten even less sleep, it would have been worth it to see our little boy have SO much fun with his cousins.
We have a monitor in T's room so I was listening in on their conversation at one point when I was downstairs. I hear Josh say, "I like to lick my arm. You should lick your arm." Then I hear T respond, "Do you taste like chicken?" How random! Where in the world did that come from??!! Such a goof!
T is FOUR!!!
I can't hardly believe our little guy is 4. Seems like it wasn't all that long ago that we were bringing him home from the hospital. I remember Cliff putting him in our Honda Accord and driving home to Creswell. We felt like we were driving in a tin can. I think the fastest we drove on I-5 was only 45mph. We were so worried about anything happening to this little precious boy God had blessed us with. I think it was only 2 weeks later that we bought a Dodge Durango. Needed something bigger, better to protect our gift.
Seeing as it feels like it wasn't that long ago, you'll understand how strange it is to have a four year old who is picking out his birthday cake, telling me exactly what colors he wants the balloons and then telling me that he wants it to say, "Happy Birthday T.G." and nothing else. He's so grown up that it freaks me out!
We got T a bike for his birthday. Cliff and I have been excited abou this for months just knowning that Trevor would be thrilled to come downstairs and find a BIKE! Boy were we let down. We called him downstairs to take him into the garage to see the bike by saying, "Hey T, do you want to see your birthday present from Mommy & Daddy?" We were met with an answer that we least expected, "No thanks." We pried and pried, trying to figure out why he didn't want our present. He said he just wanted cake, we could take the presents back, he just wants cake. Talk about bursting Cliff & I's bubble. Eventually we convinced him to see his present (hours and hours later) and hte rode it up the street once. It's been in the garage ever since. So maybe we were too early for the bike? I doubt it. I think that once it's HIS idea to ride the bike, he'll be super excited about it. I hope...
We had nearly 25 family members here for T's birthday party. Here's Trevor getting a love from Carley Wilkerson.
Funny how much more compliant a four year old is for pictures when it's immediately before he opens presents.
He got just what he wanted, new rocks and new cars. Such a boy...
Our Little Cheerleader
Robyn has graduated!!
I didn't have a very recent picture of Robyn so I decided to use this one since she looks so beautiful on her wedding day. Robyn has been going to school for the past couple years working towards being a Dental Assistant. She just finished the dental program at LCC and graduated this past Saturday, June 16th. We are so very proud of her. She was so dilligent with her school work and got outstanding grades. She's now working as a Dental Assistant in an orthodontist's office and is doing really well. We love you Robyn and are so proud of you!!

Rhody Days Parade
So this year Tammy was in charge of getting people to ride in the Sheriff's Office boat for the parade. We happened to be naive enough as to how much rain could actually fall during a parade to fall for it. :0) We got so stinkin' wet. All in all though, I think it was fun for the kids so it was worth it. There does come a point where you can't get any more wet than you are at that point so there isn't really any worries as far as trying to stay dry anymore. We ditched the umbrella before the parade actually even started moving. Guess we figured that we were getting wet whether we liked it or not so we might as well have our hands free to throw candy.

This is what our opinion was of the whole thing in the beginning. :0)
And yet we're still smiling...
I think T was a little confused as to why in the world we were throwing perfectly good candy out into the road.
T's AWANA Awards Night
May 16th - Trevor's AWANA Awards Night.
T had so much fun this past school year as a Cubbie in the AWANA program at our church. He memorized nearly 25 verses over the year and received patches throughout that time to be placed on his Cubbie vest. The last Wednesday of the AWANA year is an awards night and then the Cubbies had a party back in their classroom with cake. Yum! We never really broached the subject of AWANA being over with T. We knew he'd be so dissappointed so we really didn't ever talk about it. Every once and a while he says, "Hey, we missed to go to Cubbies." "Missed to" means forgot to in Trevor language. :0) And we just tell him again that Cubbies will be back in September. He can't hardly wait!
